EVANGELION EPISODE 4 EXPLANATION MOVIE
See, if you wanna grow your own fruits or vegetabels and your plantation already consists of nothing but garbage but then on top of that you put toxic waste into that garbage ground, you don't need to wonder why there will never ever grow nothing.įirst of all the whole visual presentation of this movie is just atrocious. The only chance of being halfway decent that this movie ever had was to completley nullifie the third movie in all his tracks and act like none of it happened (just like the third movie did with the first two).ButĪt that point in time we all knew that this was never gonna happen and so the fourth movie, as expected, continues the sharade that the third movie brought to the table, only this time around the shitshow goes on for two and a half hours.
EVANGELION EPISODE 4 EXPLANATION SERIES
Now, let's be clear here: this fourth installment of the rebuild series never had a chance to begin with after the pathetic display of the third movie. Yeah yeah, spoilers ahead I guess, but it doesn't matter anyway since the whole movie is just a compilation of random scenes with no connection, so. Alternative Title: You Got Bad Kredit, Anno. Guess this is a farewell for Neon Genesis Evangelion.Įvangelion 3.0+1.0: Trolling Up On A Lifetime.
Seeing a series end is never a good sensation unless it is an awful one, but I really think it has done well in ending like this and giving the series and appropiate goodbye. The ending has left me positive about how it has ended as it should have ended, with a happy ending for everyone. I've overally enjoyed the movie as much as I had enjoyed the whole series. And the brand-new Rei who starts learning to be more human is also a great example of character development. The same happens with Asuka, who starts being more sincere and less of an asshole to everyone. Then, we have Shinji who finally learns to sort out his feelings and mature once and for all. In the movie we can get hold of some insight on Gendou Ikari's feelings and past, which helps the viewers to understand what makes an antagonist the antagonist. Nonetheless, Utada Hikaru's 「ONE LAST KISS」(song which I personally don't like) make me lost the impact of the ending, but, that's just my own likings so this fact doesn't have the right to affect the score. The soundtrack is gorgeous, the voices are appropiate and can be heard well so it's the best it can get to my appealing. I didn't find flaws at all, so I simply cannot complain about anything related to this section. The art and animation is what it is expected from a long-awaited MOVIE (because an anime's and a movie's budget are definatelly not the same), so it definately is a really good animation.
It isn't flawless, but I cannot number it's flaws so let's call it even. In general, it has lived up to my expectations so I shall give it 9 points out Furthermore, it makes the whole series end in a way I have enjoyed, so that comes down to extra points for the story section. This last movie shows how the humanity continues to live on after the "fourth impact" and how the world has changed to humanity's disadvantage. Anyways, I'd better stop rambling so let's go on with the traits. The question is: has it been worth watching? In my opinion, yes. Neon Genesis Evangelion has finally come to an end after so many years.
